Obesity Epidemic

Lose Weight - I think we're all aware of the obesity epidemic in America today. It's so easy to get trapped into the mentality of econo-sizing our meals - twice as much for a few cents more and who doesn't want a bargain? But it's showing up in our expanding waistlines. And the extra weight is showing up as backaches, knee and joint problems, sleep problems, diabetes, heart disease, relationship battles, self-esteem struggles and more.

If eating too much has been a problem for you, try cutting your portions in half. You'll be hungry for a good week or so, then you'll notice your stomach starting to shrink to acclimate to less food.

There's no easy way around exercise. If you really want to lose weight and keep it off, my experience has been that you have to incorporate some form of cardiovascular exercise into your daily routine. Start out by walking. All you need is commitment and a good pair of walking shoes. Go a block further each day and you'll notice a remarkable improvement in your energy level and weight loss within a few weeks.

The key to loosing weight is to burn more calories than you take in.

I was 186lbs and got back down to 126 and have stayed there consistently for the last fourteen years. If I can do it, you can too. Just pay attention to what you eat, how much of it you eat, and exercise every day.
